Our Approach
FeedFirst ABA is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and families by addressing feeding challenges through evidence-based strategies. Feeding difficulties can be complex and may be due to medical issues, lack of feeding skills, nutritional issues, and/or behavioral issues. Our specialized expertise is focused on serving children aged 18 months to 7 years who exhibit various mealtime challenges, including food refusal, food selectivity and more.
Our team consists of a nutritionist and board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). We believe in collaboration and involving all stakeholders in the assessment and treatment process. We work closely with the child, their family, and other professionals to create meaningful and achievable goals tailored to the child's needs. We strongly recommend that children receive feeding therapy from other providers, such as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Occupational Therapist (OT), for at least two months before starting our program. This collaboration allows us to work with their previous therapists, ensuring a smooth transition and gaining valuable insights to address feeding and swallowing concerns effectively.
Our individualized approach aims to improve mealtime behaviors, expand their food variety and foster a positive feeding experience for children so they can reach their maximum potential. We strive to not only improve the lives of our clients, but also empower their families with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure success beyond therapy.
